WOUTER DE SWART AND
ONLINE REVIEWS

The Question That Needs to Be Asked Who Is The Real Scammer
For years, I have been falsely portrayed as a scammer, a narrative pushed by those with a vested interest in destroying my credibility. But the real question is: who is the real scammer? Me, the person who was systematically defrauded, illegally evicted, targeted by corrupt officials, and imprisoned without cause, or Wouter de Swardt, the so-called "investigator" who has orchestrated an elaborate campaign of deceit, manipulation, and outright criminality.
De Swardt did not just scam me; he scammed the courts, the police, the prosecution service, the guests, the media, and, based on online reviews, dozens, if not hundreds, of members of the public.

FACT FILE
WDS CAMPAIGN OF DECEIT
De Swardt didn’t just scam me—he defrauded the courts, police, prosecution service, guests, media, and, according to online reviews, dozens, if not hundreds, of members of the public. His actions were not only fraudulent but also criminal, designed to undermine my integrity while advancing his own deceitful agenda.
The Web of Deception
Wouter de Swardt, under the guise of a forensic investigator, operates a business model built on fraud, intimidation, and the systematic abuse of legal and institutional systems. He does not investigate crimes—he manufactures them. He does not uphold the law—he circumvents it. His influence within SAPS and the media has allowed him to manipulate narratives, weaponize police resources for private interests, and facilitate illegal evictions that leave families and tenants stranded.
This is not speculation. It is a proven pattern of behavior, repeated across multiple cases. His clients pay him to achieve unlawful objectives—no matter how many laws must be broken, how many lies must be told, or how many victims must be created in the process.

The Hypocrisy of Wouter de Swardt: The July 22 Illegal Evictions and Assaults
One of the most glaring examples of Wouter de Swardt’s criminality is the July 22 illegal evictions and assaults, where his hypocrisy was on full display. This is the same man who has publicly and repeatedly called me a "scammer," yet here he was—leading a group of hired thugs to forcefully remove paying guests from a luxury property in Llandudno in the middle of their stay.
The situation was as absurd as it was unlawful. These were guests who had legitimately booked a five-bedroom detached house with a pool in Llandudno for a long weekend through Booking.com—a platform that only releases payment to the host after guests have successfully completed their stay.
Yet, while these guests were in the middle of their stay, enjoying the very accommodation they had paid for, De Swardt arrived on the scene and—rather than upholding the guests' rights—proceeded to tell them that they had been "scammed." The sheer ridiculousness of this cannot be overstated. The only threat to their ability to complete their stay was the man standing in front of them, trying to eject them.
This was not an eviction by legal process—it was an outright criminal act, designed to intimidate and disrupt.

WDS ROLE
On July 22, during a series of illegal evictions and assaults De Swardt led a group of hired thugs to forcibly remove paying guests from a luxury property in Llandudno in the middle of their stay. Rather than respecting the guests' rights, De Swardt arrived at the property and falsely accused them of being "scammed." This was not an eviction carried out through any legal process; it was a criminal act intended to intimidate and disrupt, driven by De Swardt’s own agenda and hypocrisy.
Key Issues That Arise from the July 22 Incident:
-
Illegal eviction of paying guests in violation of South African tenancy laws and hospitality regulations.
-
Physical intimidation and assault—De Swardt and his hired enforcers did not just demand guests leave; they resorted to aggressive tactics.
-
Fraudulent misrepresentation—telling legitimate guests they had been “scammed” while he himself was unlawfully attempting to remove them.
-
Total disregard for contractual agreements—Booking.com’s payment model ensures funds are only released post-stay, proving there was no scam. The only fraudulent activity came from De Swardt.
-
Abuse of power and connections—manipulating law enforcement and using illegal force rather than lawful procedures.
It is a remarkable display of hypocrisy that Wouter de Swardt has the audacity to accuse me of fraudulent behavior when he was caught in the act of criminally ejecting guests, misleading them, and orchestrating illegal evictions. He is not an investigator—he is a professional deceiver, a thug in a suit, and a con artist hiding behind a fabricated reputation.

Media24: Perpetuating a False Narrative
The role of Media24 in enabling this campaign of deception cannot be understated. Over a period spanning August 2022 to February 2023, Media24—through its publications Netwerk24, Rapport, and News24, published a series of fabricated, one-sided, and defamatory articles that painted De Swardt as a hero, his clients as victims, and me as the villain. The reality is far different.
Media24’s articles were built entirely on the statements of De Swardt and his associates, without verification, without balance, and without any attempt to seek my input or correct blatant falsehoods. Despite overwhelming evidence disproving their claims, including court rulings, documented abuses of power, and clear instances of collusion between De Swardt and corrupt SAPS officials, Media24 continued to publish ever more extreme fabrications, never retracting or correcting their false reports.
Media24:
-
Knowingly relied on a single, biased source (De Swardt) for all allegations.
-
Published unverified and demonstrably false claims despite access to counterevidence.
-
Ignored legal rulings, case outcomes, and independent investigations that disproved the claims.
-
Rejected my attempts to provide evidence or corrections.
-
Escalated their false allegations over time, further distorting the truth.
-
Never once corrected or retracted a single falsehood, despite being made aware of the facts.
The end result? A completely fabricated story, built on nothing but the word of De Swardt and his associates, repeated and amplified by Media24 to serve their own narrative. Their reporting was not journalism—it was a coordinated smear campaign, used as a weapon to aid in unlawful evictions, false prosecutions, and personal and financial destruction.

The Pattern of Criminality Exposed
The sheer volume of independent reviews from unrelated individuals, all recounting eerily similar experiences of fraud, intimidation, and deceit, paints a clear picture of Wouter de Swardt’s criminal modus operandi. These are not isolated incidents, they are a pattern.
Each reviewer came to De Swardt seeking professional services. Instead, they were manipulated, defrauded, and in many cases, left financially or legally ruined. The accounts reveal a man who routinely takes money for services he never provides, fabricates investigations to serve his paying clients’ agendas, weaponizes law enforcement connections, and ensures his victims have nowhere to turn for justice.
Furthermore, these reviews represent only a fraction of the true scale of his misconduct. The individuals who took the time to leave public reviews had to actively search for platforms to share their experiences. For every person who has written a review, there are likely dozens, if not hundreds, of others who have been similarly deceived but never reported it publicly. Most victims of scams do not realize they have recourse, do not know where to leave reviews, or may be too intimidated to come forward.
What these reviews prove is that this is not a case of a few disgruntled clients, this is a well-documented history of criminality, deception, and outright fraud that has gone unpunished for far too long.
